Give Blood, Give Love

Evangelism Initiative 2021

This summer’s Seventh-day Adventist Church evangelism initiative, “Give Blood, Give Love” campaign, is organized by the Southwest Region Conference’s ministerial spouses in partnership with blood centers across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico and Personal Ministries.

This campaign is a wonderful opportunity to host mobile blood drives at our churches and educate our members about the importance of blood donation as a safe and convenient way to save lives in our communities.

Recognizing the blood donation shortages facing our communities, Seventh-day Adventist Churches in the Southwest Region Conference and their members can play a significant role in strengthening and protecting our friends, neighbors, and family by hosting blood drives with their local blood centers and motivating their members to donate!

This July, the ministerial spouses of the Southwest Region Conference are organizing a “Give Blood, Give Love” campaign in which churches are connected with their local blood centers to organize and host blood drives to motivate their members and save lives. Churches are encouraged to work directly with their local blood centers to organize blood drive events throughout the month of July and August. A successful campaign means that cumulatively our churches in the Southwest Region Conference can motivate over one thousand donations.

We want to invite each of you to participate in whichever way you feel compelled to volunteer. The fact is that your participation is key in maximizing the impact of this evangelistic initiative. The featured flyer is the official announcement available in digital form to share on your church’s website, social media platforms, and via email. The featured t-shirt on the model pictured above, is the official t-shirt/logo of this initiative. We are asking that each of you, along with your spouse, wear the t-shirt and advance the initiative, please send an email to johanna.penick@gmail.com and provide your contact information, your spouse’s name, your church name, and t-shirt size. Additional t-shirts for church members, volunteers, and your communities are available to order at $12.50/shirt.
